Dr. Weerts is an Immunologist on a research team involved in the development and characterization of vaccines against Shigella. The team is currently engaged in the investigation of immune responses to Shigella vaccines in pre-clinical studies and human clinical trials. In this interview, Dr.Weertz will also speak about her team’s research at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), as well as the nature of Shigella and it’s vast impact, plus about the efficacy of Travelan and the Immuron, maker of Travelan, technology platforn.
